I have been discovering cool beauty websites lately. I am a beauty hoarder. I am not really a hoarder, but you get the gist. 😉 I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty product sites with you because I want you to love what I love. Also, you can find some wonderful deals out there too. I am listing a mix of skincare and cosmetic websites, so that you can look at a variey of different types of beauty products. I will also be sharing more websites in the future as well as links.
What are some of your favorite beauty product websites out there today?
When you are talking to your girlfriends about cosmetics, what are some of your must haves? What type of beauty products do you talk about?
I will be blogging a lot about Mascaras. I also love eyeliners that are easy to line. I get gitty like a school girl when I find a mascara and eyeliner that work better than the next. Right now, these two are my favorite by L’Oreal. Both in Carbon Black, Voluminous Mascara and Pencil Perfect eyeliner are so amazing and you can use them both with a natural look or a bold, nighttime look. They really make your lashes look beautiful and full when you use them together.
What type of eyelashes do you have and what steps do you take to make them standout?
Do you usually stick to one color for eye shadow or do you own palettes? What are some of your favorite brands for eye shadows?
This Tarte eye shadow palette is very natural and very pretty on. If you like a nice everyday look that isn’t too bold, this is your palette. I don’t care what anyone says, cool natural colors are here to stay and will never go out of style.
What type of natural look do you admire?
What are you doing to give your body a nice and tan glow?
I personally love a good sun-kissed body glow makeup because I don’t like too much sun. Although a little Vitamin D never hurts. I just always wear an SPF 30. What about adding a bronzing body glow product instead laying in the the sun? Did you know that JLO doesn’t go in the sun and she actually uses bronzers? She has pretty fair skin by nature.
The BEST body glow I have ever used…
I am always looking up to celebrities and admiring other makeup artists for their latest trends in cosmetics. I just attended The Makeup Show downtown Chicago, and I met the ever so popular makeup artist, Joanna Schlip. If you don’t know anything about her, she is a huge celebrity makeup artist represented by the Cloutier Agency in Los Angeles. Her clients include the best of the best including Angelina Jolie, Christina Applegate, and many others. Her work has been displayed on many magazine covers, and she specializes in Red Carpet Events.
And most importantly, she invented the best body glow I have ever used called Red Carpet Kolour. This body glow gives you a nice bronzed glow without it being orange or fake looking. It doesn’t stain clothes and dries in minutes. I use it now on all my clients, and they just want more of it. Every makeup artist should have this product in their makeup bag.
How do you achieve your sun-kissed look? Sun or sunless?
1. Sephora blush – Rose Rebelle
2. Benefit Erase Paste
3. Smashbox lipstick – Flirty
Let’s just say that my makeup bag wouldn’t be caught dead without these three products… and yours shouldn’t either.
Well, I’ll tell you. First of all, the Rose Rebelle blush and Flirty lipstick were made for each other. (Even though they weren’t really made for each other. One is from Sephora and the other is Smashbox. But, somehow. Cosmically, perhaps. They were made for each other.) I just love them together. And these colors never go out of season. It may look like a lot of color in the picture, but it can actually be used pretty naturally.
Now, can we talk about how picky I am about concealer? I am picky with a capital P-I-C-K-Y. So when I say that Benefit Erase Paste is an amazing concealer, I mean it. If you struggle against dark circles, Erase Paste is your friend. No. It’s your bestie. It seriously makes them instantly disappear. Poof! I’ve witnessed its magic on me, of course, but also on countless clients. We all fight the good fight against dark circles and Erase Paste is my weapon of choice.
Am I right? Or am I right?
What are 3 must-haves in your makeup bag at the moment?
